Full Job Description Responsibilities:

• Perform venipuncture and collect blood specimens from patients
• Ensure proper patient identification and labeling of specimens
• Follow established protocols for specimen collection and processing
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Adhere to safety and infection control policies and procedures
• Provide excellent patient care and ensure patient comfort during the phlebotomy process
• Utilize medical terminology and knowledge of laboratory procedures to accurately communicate with healthcare professionals

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an accredited phlebotomy training program
• Certification as a phlebotomist preferred
• Proficiency in aseptic technique and clinical laboratory procedures
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Knowledge of medical terminology related to phlebotomy and laboratory testing
