Physical Therapy Assistant PTA

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in physiotherapy techniques and a passion for patient care, with experience working in diverse clinical settings. As a PTA, you will collaborate closely with licensed physical therapists to implement individualized care plans, assist in patient rehabilitation, and promote optimal recovery outcomes across inpatient, outpatient, and home health environments. Your expertise in anatomy, physiology, and therapeutic modalities will be essential to providing high-quality support to our patients. Duties Assist licensed physical therapists in developing and executing personalized treatment plans tailored to patient needs. Implement therapeutic interventions such as trigger point therapy, manual therapy, and modalities to facilitate pain relief and functional improvement. Monitor patient progress and document responses to treatment accurately within medical records. Support discharge planning by preparing patients for continued care at home or in outpatient settings. Educate patients on exercises, activity modifications, and injury prevention strategies to enhance recovery outcomes. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized treatment environment adhering to all health and safety regulations. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including nurses, physicians, and occupational therapists to ensure comprehensive patient care. Utilize knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology to effectively communicate patient status and treatment goals. Experience Prior experience working as a Physical Therapy Assistant in inpatient or outpatient settings is highly desirable. Skilled nursing facility experience or home health background is preferred. Demonstrated proficiency in physiotherapy techniques such as trigger point therapy and manual therapy. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology relevant to rehabilitation practices. Experience working with diverse populations including geriatrics, pediatrics, orthopedics, and acute care patients. Familiarity with care plans development and implementation within clinic or hospital environments. Strong understanding of discharge planning processes and interdisciplinary collaboration for seamless patient transitions. Pay:

$35.00 - $40.00 per hour
