Job Description

Wolf Contractors Inc. offers competitive pay and a comprehensive benefits package at or above industry standards. 1.5X pay for overtime work. Compensation is based on experience and certifications. Wolf Contractors Inc. has been a top site contractor in the Hampton Roads area for over 39 years and has completed over 1,030 civil construction projects in the Tidewater area. Wolf Contractors is adding another utility crew and seeking a motivated individual for a full time Pipe Crew Foreman position to start a utility crew. As a Pipe Crew Foreman at Wolf Contractors Inc, you'll use your skills to install underground storm water, sanitary sewer, water line, and force main pipelines in projects throughout the Hampton Roads. Starting out, you will join one of the current utility crews while we work to build you crew. Duties and responsibilities include leading the pipe crew in pipeline construction, checking pipe slopes and inverts, connecting pipes during installation, grading and leveling trench bases using tamping machines and hand tools, and other construction duties related to utility construction. The pipe crew foreman must be able to create a work plan for the crew to complete utility installations efficiently.
Qualifications:
Successful candidate will have at least five years of prior underground pipe laying experience as a crew foreman installing storm sewer, water main, and sanitary sewer. Advanced knowledge of construction drawings and blueprints. Must be able to read plans. Very knowledgeable of pipe laying techniques. Must be well versed in using a pipe laser, grade rod and level, smart level, and spinning laser. Willing to work in a team environment. Pre-employment drug screening and satisfactory driving record required.
Job Requirements:
High School diploma or equivalent Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record and reliable transportation. Knowledge of construction equipment Ability to frequently lift items up to 20 lbs and the ability to occaisonaly lift items up to 80 lbs. Ability to stand for long periods of time. Must be safe while working or driving.
