Job Description

ASME Pipe Welder - Stainless Steel (MIG & FCAW) Vessel & Piping Fabrication | Shop-Based Role We are hiring an experienced Pipe Welder with a strong background in stainless steel welding within an ASME code environment. This role supports the fabrication of pressure vessels and piping systems used across multiple industrial sectors. The ideal candidate demonstrates precision, code compliance knowledge, and a strong commitment to safety and quality. Key Responsibilities Weld and fabricate stainless steel pipe and vessel components in accordance with ASME code requirements Perform MIG (GMAW) and Flux-Cored Arc Welding (FCAW) on stainless steel pipe Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, isometrics, and fabrication drawings Set up and adjust welding equipment and fixtures per WPS specifications Prepare materials through cleaning, beveling, grinding, and proper fit-up Inspect completed welds to ensure compliance with quality standards and ASME requirements Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-compliant work environment Collaborate with supervisors, fitters, and fellow welders to meet production deadlines Qualifications Minimum 3 years of experience welding pipe or vessels in an ASME code shop Strong blueprint reading and print interpretation skills Ability to work independently and within a team-based fabrication environment High attention to detail and commitment to producing quality welds Ability to pass a 6G MIG (GMAW) and FCAW weld test on stainless steel pipe Working knowledge of welding metallurgy, joint preparation, and welding parameters Compensation & Benefits Competitive hourly pay based on experience and weld test performance Health, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) retirement plan Paid holidays and paid vacation
