Job Description

Job Overview (Shift Lead) RW Earthworks is frac sand drying plant located outside of Killdeer, ND. We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Plant Crew Leader to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently, and maintaining a positive work environment. As a Crew Leader, you will play a crucial role in guiding your team towards achieving operational goals while fostering teamwork and collaboration. Plant Crew Leader Essential Duties/Responsibilities Follows appropriate use of PPE and completes all work safely. Follow all company safety and health policies. Performs general labor tasks at work site. Supervise and coordinate the activities of crew members to ensure effective workflow. Train new employees on company policies, procedures, and safety protocols. Monitor team performance and provide constructive feedback to enhance productivity. Problem solving and delivery skills to keep the plant up and running. Operates equipment in a safe and efficient manner ensuring maximum equipment health and productivity. Conduct pre-shift and post-shift inspection on all production equipment daily and complete inspection documents. Operate all processing plant equipment safely and efficiently. Assist in conducting maintenance on all equipment. Lock and Tag Out equipment properly. Performs housekeeping duties and cleans around equipment on a daily basis. Ability to operate a front-end loader and skid steer as necessary. Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions (heat, cold, rain, wind) for extended periods of time. Ability to lift 75 pounds, climbs stairs, work at heights, in confined spaces, around large machinery/equipment and walk on uneven terrain. Must be able to work in a team setting effectively. Works with a good attitude. Assist in other areas of the plant when needed. Plant Crew Leader Qualifications Previous experience in a leadership role or supervisory position is preferred. Knowledge in conveyors, bearings, rotary driers and baghouses, preferred. Exceptional skills in communication, organization, and attention to detail Sufficient computer skills. Ability to use basic hand and power tools. Basic operating knowledge of construction equipment, preferred. Ability to weld, grind, fabricate, and complete complex repairs, preferred. Must be willing to work any shift, overtime, weekends, and holidays as nature of plant schedule may fluctuate. Must be able to wear a respirator and other required personal protective equipment.
