Job Description
Plant Manager

Position:
Manage day-to-day activities of the Monroe Commercial plant, with direct reports including inside sales, office manager, materials manager, and production leaders.Responsibilities:
- Responsible for Profit and Loss (P&L) duties for the plant, including monitoring net income after expenses influencing how company resources are allocated.
- Plans, develops, and implements organization policies and goals.
- Coordinates activities of plant such as operating, planning, sales, maintenance, to effect operational efficiency and economy.
- Establishes product inventory and monitors for appropriate turns and inventory.
- Supports Sales in promotion of products or services performed to develop new markets, increase share of market, and obtain competitive position in industry.
- Prepares daily, weekly, or monthly reports for top management to communicate, summarize, and analyze plant performance or changes to be implemented.
- Hire, train, evaluate, assign, or discharge staff or resolve personnel grievances.
- Supervise the efforts of up to 50 reports.
Qualifications:
- Five to ten years' experience in manufacturing industry Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
- Proficiency with ERP software
- Monitoring/Assessing performance of yourself, other individuals, or organizations to make improvements or take corrective action.
