Full-time, On-site Company Description PrimeTex Inc. is building a high-output, execution-focused sawmill operation. We specialize in scaling production across multiple lines to meet strong market demand for rail ties, pallets, and lumber. Our facility is built on high-ownership leadership and immediate operational impact. The Role This is a high-ownership, hands-on leadership role running a multi-line sawmill operation. We require a Plant Manager who operates from the floor—not from an office. You will own daily production, uptime, yield, raw material flow, and team performance across three production lines. This role is for a veteran who understands sawmill operations deeply and takes pride in delivering consistent output.

Key Responsibilities Production & Throughput:

Deliver consistent daily output and drive throughput from a ~40 MBF/day baseline toward 60 MBF/day by July 2026.

Floor Leadership:

Lead from the floor to build a disciplined, accountable, and performance-driven workforce while minimizing turnover.

Equipment Reliability:

Ensure high availability of sawmill equipment, including carriages, band saws, resaws, and edgers.

Yield Optimization:

Improve log-to-lumber recovery rates and optimize cutting patterns for products like rail ties vs. boards.

Market & Supplier Relations:

Pivot production based on market demand and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure quality feedstock.

Safety & Discipline:

Maintain a zero-compromise safety culture and enforce operational discipline across all shifts.

Requirements Experience:

10+ years specifically in sawmill operations is mandatory.

Technical Skills:

Proven experience leading sawmill production (carriage, band mill, or similar setups).

Knowledge:

Deep understanding of log breakdown, recovery optimization, and sawmill flow.

Mindset:

A "doer" with a strong bias for action who is comfortable making real-time decisions.

Exclusions:

Candidates without direct sawmill or wood processing experience will not be considered.

Compensation & Benefits Base Salary:

Starts at USD $10,000/month.
