Pool Bar Host - TWA Hotel JFK

The rooftop pool and bar at the TWA Hotel JFK is open year round! MBG-Inspire LLC operates 3 F&B outlets at the hotel including the Sunken Lounge, Connie Airplane Lounge and the Rooftop Pool Bar & Grill. The outdoor heated pool at the Rooftop bar is popular all year long and we are currently looking for a full or part time host with weekend availability. We are looking for a versatile team player to be part of this fun atmosphere and team! The host spends the majority of shifts outdoors, which may include inclement weather. The Pool Bar is open from 11a - 11p daily and host shifts start as early as 9am with the evening hosts getting off as late as midnight. This position is also crossed trained as a food runner and fills those shifts / breaks as needed. $18 - $20 per hour + tip share

Duties Include:

Greeting guests Making and Verifying Reservations Talking payment for walk-in guests Maintaining reservation sheet Maintaining pool towels Assisting to keep the pool deck clear and organized. Providing Hotel related information Phone answering, email responding Food running Supporting events in the location

Qualifications:

Mon, Fri, Sat, Sun availability required Must be a team player and willing to work in versatile capacities Excellent customer service and communication Able to tolerate working outdoors most of the time. A positive and friendly attitude with focus on guest satisfaction Able to multi-task, prioritize and work efficiently Integrity. Doing what's right and taking pride in your work and your team Able to remain calm and professional in stressful situations and handle guest complaints Able to satisfy the physical requirements and duties as indicated on each position's specific job description.
