Aug 31, 2026 Job Description Qualified candidates will have the skills and knowledge to teach in a student-centered and mass customized learning environment in a progressive elementary school located in southern Maine. This is not an inclusive listing: 1. Implement instruction from planned objectives. 2. Diagnosing and prescribing learning activities appropriate for the individual child. 3. Evaluates pupils academic and social growth, keeps appropriate records and prepares progress reports. 4. Maintaining communication with parents regarding student progress, both formally and through periodic reports and conferences. 5. To perform necessary non-teaching duties essential to the day-to-day operation of the school. 6. Maintain a professional working relationship with all staff members. 7. Assume responsibility for developing good public relations with members of the community. 8. Identifies pupil needs and cooperates with other professional staff members in assessing and helping pupils solve health, attitude and learning problems. 9. Participates in curriculum development programs as necessary. 10. Participates in faculty committees and sponsorship of pupil activities. 11. Maintains professional competence through in-service education activities provided by the distinct and self-selected professional growth activities.
