Preschool Teacher The Goddard School - 3.1 Independence, OH Job Details Full-time $16.00 - $18.50 an hour 1 hour ago Benefits Health insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Life insurance Retirement plan Qualifications Licensed childcare center experience Full Job Description The Goddard School in Independence is looking for a caring, dependable, and energetic Preschool Co-Teacher to work with our classroom of three-year-old children. This is a wonderful age where children are gaining independence, building friendships, learning classroom routines, developing language and social skills, and preparing for the next steps in preschool. We are looking for someone who enjoys working with young preschoolers and understands how to guide them with patience, structure, warmth, and consistency. Responsibilities The Preschool Teacher will help: Care for and supervise a classroom of three-year-old children Support daily routines, transitions, meals, rest time, toileting, and play Plan and participate in age-appropriate activities Encourage language, independence, social skills, and problem-solving Help create a safe, clean, organized, and welcoming classroom Support children with positive guidance and consistent expectations Communicate professionally with families and coworkers Follow Ohio childcare licensing rules and school policies Work as part of a teaching team to keep the classroom running smoothly Help children feel confident, capable, and ready for the next stage of preschool What We're Looking For Qualified candidates should have: Experience working with preschool-age children Experience in a licensed childcare center is strongly preferred A calm, patient, and positive approach with children Strong classroom management skills Dependability and good attendance The ability to work well with a teaching team Willingness to follow lesson plans, routines, licensing rules, and school expectations Comfort helping with toileting and bathroom routines Professional communication with families and staff
Pay:
$16.00 - $18.50 per hour
