Job Title:
Press Assistant Job Description The Press Assistant supports the operation of converting rotary die equipment used in the fabrication and assembly of disposable medical products. This role applies practical knowledge of product fabrication, assembly, and tooling to ensure accurate, efficient, and high-quality production of medical adhesive products such as surgical tape. Responsibilities Operate and assist with converting rotary die equipment used in the production of disposable medical products. Apply knowledge of product fabrication, assembly, and tooling to support efficient machine setup and operation. Catch machine parts as they come off the rotary die equipment to maintain continuous production flow. Weigh parts to ensure proper quantities and compliance with production specifications. Count and verify finished parts for accuracy and completeness. Inspect parts for quality, identifying any defects or irregularities and reporting issues promptly. Place inspected parts into boxes in an organized and accurate manner for further processing or shipment. Perform general labor tasks related to production as needed to support the team and maintain workflow. Follow established procedures and guidelines to maintain product quality and consistency. Support a clean and organized work area to align with clean room standards and safety requirements. Essential Skills Experience with press operation or assisting in press-related production environments. Ability to operate or support operation of converting rotary die equipment. Basic production and general labor skills in a manufacturing setting. Ability to catch, handle, and organize machine parts quickly and safely. Competence in weighing and counting parts accurately. Attention to detail for inspecting parts and identifying defects. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and standard operating procedures. Reliability and consistency in performing repetitive production tasks. Additional Skills & Qualifications Familiarity with product fabrication and assembly processes in a manufacturing environment. Comfort working with tooling and basic mechanical processes. Previous experience in a clean room or clean manufacturing environment. Ability to work effectively as part of a production team in a fast-growing company. Why Work Here? Employees typically work 7 hours per shift while being compensated for 8 hours, within a structured production setting that emphasizes cleanliness, organization, and adherence to manufacturing standards. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Gallatin, TN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
