PRIMARY PURPOSE:
Direct and manage the instructional program and supervise operations at the campus level. Provide instructional leadership to ensure high standards instructional service. Direct the implementation district policies and instructional programs and manage the operations all campus activities.
QUALIFICATIONS
EducationCertification:
Master's Degree in educational administration Texas Administrative or Mid-Management Certification or the new Standard Principal Certificate Certified appraiser in Board approved evaluation system
Special KnowledgeSkills:
Working knowledge curriculum and instruction Ability to evaluate instructional program and teaching effectiveness Ability to manage budget and personnel Ability to coordinate campus functions Ability to implement policy and procedures Ability to interpret data Strong communication, organizational, public relations, and interpersonal skills Ability to speak Spanish desired but not required
Experience:
Three years teaching experience Two years experience in instructional leadership roles
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Instructional . Serve as instructional leader the school by maintaining an instructional Management focus that supports high academic expectations for all students. . Supervise, monitor, and evaluate all instructional programs in the school. . Work closely with subject area specialists to adjust and improve the district's curricula and delivery instruction. . Establish and maintain a system regular and frequent assessment student progress. . Coordinate all special programs and special services available to the campus. . Develop a master schedule courses which reflects the best use time, building space, and staff utilization. . Coordinate and assume responsibility for all co-curricular, extracurricular, and other after-school activities sponsored or co-sponsored by the school. School Climate . Maintain on the campus a positive climate in which teaching and learning are emphasized and rewarded. Junior School Principal Job Description SchoolOrganizational Climate . Develop, maintain, and publicize a plan for campus improvement which is based on input from parents, teachers, students, and the community. Personnel . Make recommendations to the Personnel Department pertaining to the Management employment, retention, suspension, transfer, or dismissal members the campus staff. . Implements the district system employee evaluation with the goal of improving the performance each staff member as well as the overall instructional program the campus. . Serve as the liaison between the campus and the rest the school district by keeping the staff informed regarding the philosophy and mission the district, important developments within the district, and revisions state and local policies and procedures. . Follow all policies and procedures as outlined in the district's Board Policy Manual, the district's Administrative Guidelines, and directives from the Central Office. AdministrativeFiscal Management . Establish and maintain an efficient system financial management for the campus. Student . Oversee the efficient use the campus building and site. Management . Establish and maintain a system managing student behavior that allows a all students to learn in a safe, orderly environment. Professional . Stay current in research developments and trends in public education and share Growth and information with staff members. Development . Demonstrate behavior that is professional, ethical, and responsible. SchoolCommunity Relations . Develop and maintain positive relations between the school and the community by effectively communicating the mission the school. . Coordinate efforts the staff to keep parents informed their child's progress. Other . Perform any other duties assigned.

Supervise and evaluate the performance assistant principal(s), teacher(s), counselor(s), librarians(s), nurse(s), and support staff.
