Job Description

Private Household Manager/ Hands on (Senior) - Naples, FL Overview Private household in Naples, Florida seeks an experienced Household Manager to serve as the operational and cognitive backbone of the home. This is a live-out role supporting one primary residence and a second nearby property. The position is best suited to a candidate who combines: Strong hands-on capability Independent judgment Natural anticipation of needs This is not a layered staff environment. Success in the role depends on the ability to own outcomes end-to-end, rather than manage a team. Role Philosophy The right candidate will not wait to be told what to do.

See what needs attention Think through options Present a recommendation when appropriate Execute seamlessly This role replaces the need for constant principal involvement in day-to-day decisions. Core Responsibilities Household Operations Oversee and execute daily household operations to a consistently high standard Step in hands-on (laundry, light housekeeping, organization, errands) as needed Maintain readiness of the home for both everyday living and guests Systems Ownership Own and continuously refine a detailed house manual ("house book") Ensure all routines (daily, weekly, seasonal, annual) are tracked and completed Identify gaps in systems and proactively improve them Vendor & Property Management Manage all household vendors and service providers Schedule, supervise, and evaluate work quality Confidently handle vendor pushback, scope creep, and pricing discussions Oversee maintenance and service cycles across both properties Principal Support Anticipate needs and reduce cognitive load on principals Present options with clear recommendations when decisions are required Coordinate appointments, deliveries, and household logistics Provide occasional driving support if needed Secondary Property Oversight Ensure the second residence remains maintained, stocked, and ready Coordinate vendor access and periodic checks What Success Looks Like The household runs smoothly without frequent direction Tasks are completed before they become visible issues Vendors are handled efficiently and professionally The house manual is a living, evolving system Principals experience a meaningful reduction in decision fatigue and oversight Ideal Candidate Profile Prior experience in a private household or high-touch hospitality environment Demonstrated ability to operate independently with sound judgment Comfortable being both strategic and hands-on Strong organizational and follow-through skills across varied time horizons Calm, discreet, and professional presence Able to balance initiative with respect for preferences and standards Important Distinctions This role is not: A purely task-based housekeeping role A multi-staff Household Manager position A corporate-style Chief of Staff role It is a hybrid role requiring both execution and thinking at a high level.

Full-time, live-out Local candidates preferred (familiarity with Naples vendors a plus) Temporary housing support may be available during transition
Compensation:
