Job Description

JOB SUMMARY
Join our team at Scientific Protein Laboratories (SPL), a world leader in biosourced pharmaceuticals, located just outside of Madison, Wisconsin in Waunakee! SPL is an innovative biopharmaceutical leader with unique products and services supporting the pharmaceutical industry globally. For over 40 years, SPL specializes in the development and cGMP compliant manufacturing of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs). SPL has an exciting opportunity to join the team as a Process Operator. Under direct supervision, a Process Operator performs all activities necessary to manufacture SPL specialty products according to Manufacturing Instructions (MI's) and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs).
Responsibilities include:
Under direct supervision, learns, understands and applies cGMP's, Standard Operating Procedures, safety practices and other pertinent material through films, reading and on the job training to produce high quality products safely. Maintains written records of batch records, cleaning logs, equipment labels and any other pertinent records and the work is performed. Utilizes good housekeeping practices to ensure work areas are neat and sanitary. Adheres to established work schedules in a consistently reliable manner, and performs job responsibilities and delivers work products on a dependable and timely basis. Under direct supervision performs activities necessary to manufacture product. These activities may include but are not limited to rolling heavy drums, washing and sanitizing equipment and work areas, operating forklifts and lifting bags. Operate equipment or starts, runs, monitors and shuts down a process. Monitors process and advise superiors of any out of specification conditions. Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements and Qualifications:
Education:
High School Diploma or G.E.D. preferred
Experience:
None required, two plus years preferred Must be able to lift up to 90 lbs. Ability to use personal protective equipment as required
Schedule:
2nd shift: Monday-Friday 2pm-10pm
