Job Description:
Primary responsibilities will include Supporting Continuous Improvement efforts to improve plant safety, ergonomics, quality, productivity, and morale Identifying potential Safety and Manufacturing issues, developing creative, custom solutions to address the issues and implementation of these solutions. Uses a variety of automated and handheld tools such as welders, cutting equipment, hoists, grinders, pneumatic tools, and measuring devices to fabricate fixtures consistent with Lean Manufacturing principles Provide fill-in support to the production and material distribution teams as required, based on demand and available resources. Perform basic facility maintenance as directed by Supervisor Provide assembly training as required Develop process documentation through the use of visual aids, written procedures and computer generated documents Maintains the work area in a clean, orderly, and safe condition Performs other duties as assigned that supports the overall objective of the position Skills/Experience Minimum 1 year as a permanent PTL Team Member. 5+ years of experience in industrial Manufacturing. Must possess strong, problem-solving abilities and the openness to think outside of the box. Must possess a basic understanding of Lean Manufacturing Principles. Possess basic knowledge of the Safe operation and application of mechanical and fabrication tools and machinery. Working knowledge of simple electrical circuits, mechanics, pneumatics and hydraulics. Possess the capacity to interpret basic Engineering drawings and schematics. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Able to meet assigned task and Project schedules with minimum direct Supervision. Adaptability to rapidly changing priorities as required. Flexible to work Overtime as necessary.
