Full-time FLSA Status:

Non Exempt Primary Purpose:

Coordinate the daily activities and operations of production and floor personnel to improve and ensure efficient and accurate production operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Oversee and train production team members and temporary associates working on specified production line. 2. Ensure all production records are properly maintained. 3. Monitor production line operation in accordance with plant policies and procedures. 4. Start machine, engage feed, and observe operation. 5. Move equipment controls and guides to adjust machine. 6. Determine work procedures and expedite workflow. 7. Meet production goals. 8. Examine work for exactness, neatness, and conformance to policies and procedures. 9. Coordinate equipment startups and shut downs. 10. Ensure a clean and safe work environment. 11. Monitor quality assurance. 12. Since this is a relatively specialized position and very few people can perform the tasks required for this position, regular attendance and punctuality are essential for the smooth operation of this department.

Non-essential duties and responsibilities may be assigned by the company to achieve the primary purpose or other purposes. 1. Perform activities of Production workers.

Minimum Qualifications:

1. High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or two years related manufacturing experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 2. Knowledge of manufacturing processes, procedures, and machinery. 3. Basic Arithmetic. 4. Read, write and speak English. (Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.) 5. Ability to work 40-50 or more hours per week. 6. Ability to work weekends as needed. 7. Ability to wear protective smocks, hats, gloves, sleeve guards, hairnets, rubber boots and at times cut resistant gloves. 8. Ability to perform routine repetitive work. 9. Ability to lift up to 35 pounds frequently for several hours or during the entire shift.

Physical Demands:

• 1. Regularly required to stand and walk. 2. Regularly use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms. 3. Must be capable of speaking, hearing, tasting and smelling. 4. Occasionally climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. 5. Regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. 6. Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. 7. Requires distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment:

• 1. Regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and moving mechanical parts. 2. Regularly exposed to a loud work environment. 3. Occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions, extreme cold, extreme heat and vibration. •"Continuously" is described as more than 70% of the work day, "regularly" 40% to 70%, "frequently" 15% to 40%, "occasionally" less than 15%.
