Spring Hill, Tennessee, United States Talascend is currently seeking a Production Supervisor with a leading automotive manufacturer located in Spring Hill, Tennessee. Summary
We are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to support operations within a fast-paced automotive manufacturing environment. This role will oversee multiple areas within the Trim Shop and General Assembly operations, including Trim 1, Trim 2, and Door Line functions. The supervisor will lead a team of approximately 20-40 hourly UAW employees, including 6 direct-report Team Leaders, while ensuring safety, quality, productivity, and employee engagement standards are met. Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate daily activities of production and operating employees within General Assembly and Trim operations.
Lead, coach, and motivate a workforce of hourly employees and Team Leaders to achieve production, quality, and safety goals.
Manage staffing, workflow, and employee assignments across multiple production areas as business needs change.
Recommend and implement measures to improve productivity, efficiency, product quality, and employee engagement.
Review production operations and collaborate with technical and administrative teams to resolve manufacturing or processing issues.
Develop and maintain production tracking, quality control, and performance monitoring systems.
Analyze production, maintenance, and quality data to identify trends and resolve operational problems.
Ensure compliance with company policies, safety procedures, and quality standards.
Support employee development through training, coaching, performance evaluations, and corrective action processes when necessary.
Prepare and maintain production reports, attendance records, and personnel documentation.
Foster strong communication and teamwork across departments and shifts. Qualifications
Associate's Degree required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
Minimum of 3-5 years of production supervision or manufacturing leadership experience required.
Proven experience leading teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Automotive manufacturing experience strongly preferred.
Experience working in a union/UAW environment preferred.
Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, or other problem-solving certifications are a plus.
Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing production needs.
Working knowledge of production processes, quality systems, manufacturing equipment, and safety standards.
Stable work history with demonstrated leadership progression preferred. We thank all applicants for their interest.
