Job Summary:
We're seeking a detail-oriented Production Technician to help ensure safe, compliant, and high-quality packaging of our cannabis products.
Key Responsibilities:
Package various types of cannabis products Label all products accurately with required state/tribal compliance information. Inspect packaged products for consistency, accuracy, and defects prior to final approval. Operate packaging equipment (such as sealers, heat guns, and shrink wrap machines) as needed. Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), safety protocols, and quality assurance guidelines. The responsibilities listed above represent a general overview of the position and may not reflect all tasks that may be required. North Star Canna reserves the right to assign or modify duties as needed, with or without advance notice, to meet operational demands.
Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent Minimum age of 21 years old per MN Office of Cannabis Management and Tribal regulations Must be legally authorized to work in the United States per standard federal employment eligibility Must have reliable means of transportation to and from the worksite Ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) Must be teamwork oriented, skilled in collaboration, have strong interpersonal communication, and dependability 3+ years of working in a team environment Attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience in packaging or manufacturing Familiarity with cannabis industry regulations and verbiage The ideal candidate is respectful, has a good attitude and can lift others up, takes initiative, shows dedication and commitment, is reliable, acts with integrity, and takes accountability.
Physical Demands:
Must be able to stand/sit for long periods of time Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs Working in a cultivation environment, which can include no natural light and varying temperatures Manual dexterity to operate small hand tools, apply stickers, and handle delicate products for an extended period of time Required to wear PPE Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential job functions in compliance with the Minnesota Human Rights Act and ADA.
