They plan, lead, and evaluate programs that support academic success, healthy lifestyles, and good character & citizenship. YDPs create safe, engaging, and inclusive spaces where youth feel supported, inspired, and excited to participate. This position includes three levels (Program Assistant, YDP

), each offering opportunities for growth, training, and leadership. What You'll Do Plan and lead fun, creative, and meaningful programs and activities Promote and track participation; create engaging lesson plans Manage groups of youth while ensuring safety, structure, and positive behavior Maintain clean, organized program spaces and assist with inventory Support Club priority outcomes through high‑quality programming Uphold discipline policies and report incidents promptly Participate in evaluations, meetings, and required trainings Build positive relationships with youth, families, and staff Foster an inclusive, respectful, and welcoming environment Record and report program data accurately Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (All Levels) Coursework or experience related to youth development Work Environment Busy, active youth environment with multiple activities happening at once Indoor and occasional outdoor work Must follow health and safety precautions Physical Demands Reliable attendance and punctuality Ability to lift up to 40 lbs Ability to walk, sit, stand, and climb stairs Experience mentoring or working with youth Understanding of cultural responsiveness and inclusion Strong planning, organization, and communication skills Ability to collaborate with diverse groups and communities
