Job Description

Job Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Psychiatric Clinic Coordinator / Medical Assistant, where you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care within a fast-paced psychiatric outpatient setting. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with mental health professionals, coordinate clinic operations, and support patients through their treatment journeys. Experience with Spravato (esketamine) administration is highly preferred, as you will assist with specialized medication protocols. Responsibilities Assist in patient intake processes, including collecting medical histories and verifying insurance information Measure and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature to monitor patient health status Support medication administration procedures, including preparing and administering treatments like Spravato under supervision Maintain accurate documentation within Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, ensuring compliance with privacy regulations and clinic protocols Coordinate appointment scheduling, follow-up visits, and patient reminders to optimize clinic flow and patient engagement Support clinical staff with basic medical procedures related to psychiatry Ensure clinic areas are clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies to promote a safe and efficient environment Requirements Prior experience working in outpatient clinics or medical settings such as dermatology, psych, hospital medicine, urgent care, or internal medicine is highly desirable Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, ICD coding, and medication administration protocols Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or equivalent healthcare certification required Familiarity with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems and medical administrative support tasks Experience with inpatient or outpatient settings at Level I or Level II trauma centers is a plus Strong patient service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and compassionately with diverse populations Ability to perform vital signs measurement accurately and support intake procedures efficiently Knowledge of emergency medicine procedures and hospital experience are advantageous for this role Understand REMS and spravato/ TMS Clinical policies Join us to be part of a passionate team committed to transforming mental health care through dedicated support and innovative treatments.
