Job Description

Psychiatry Nurse Practitioner at Ketamine & Wellness Clinic El Dorado Wellness 601 Main Street, Placerville, CA 95667 Up to $15,000 a month - Part-time, Temp-to-hire, Contract Up to $15,000 a month -
Part-time, Temp-to-hire, Contract Job Type:
Part-Time (Transitioning to Full-Time)
Schedule:
Initial launch: Mondays & Fridays (Late afternoon/early evening sessions. Open for discussion.) Our Heart & Mission This mission is personal. We are launching a behavioral health clinic in the Placerville area designed to be a sanctuary for those in their most vulnerable moments. While we have a profound emphasis on supporting our local Veterans and First Responders —those who have sacrificed so much for our community—our doors are open to the general public struggling with treatment-resistant depression, PTSD, and suicide risk. We believe that mental health care should never feel like a clinical assembly line. We are intentionally building a space centered on access, consistency of care, and true human connection. Our goal is to provide a place where patients don't just "manage symptoms" but actually find a path back to themselves.
The Opportunity:
Innovation Meets Compassion We are looking for a licensed medical provider ( PMHNP ) who wants to be at the forefront of interventional psychiatry in El Dorado County.
The Ideal Partner:
A Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) is our ideal fit, combining clinical oversight with deep mental health advocacy. We are looking for someone interested in the transformative power of Ketamine-Assisted Therapy and Spravato (esketamine) treatments , alongside group integration sessions.
Clinical Flexibility:
While IV proficiency is a plus, your heart for the mission is what matters most. We can provide RN support for IV administrations if your strengths lie in the psychiatric and diagnostic side of the practice. A "Startup"
Mindset:
We are in the early stages. We need someone who is excited to help us build the culture, refine the protocols, and grow this into a pillar of the Placerville community. Why This Role?
Grow Your Own Practice:
Many of our ketamine and Spravato patients seek long-term, individual therapy. We offer a direct referral pipeline for our providers to build and maintain their own private therapy caseload within our facility.
Strategic Schedule:
This is a perfect "bridge" role. Start two days a week (Mondays and Fridays) while maintaining other employment, with the clear opportunity to move into a full-time leadership position as we scale.
Diverse Patient Impact:
You will be treating those who have often lost hope—veterans with complex PTSD, first responders facing burnout, and members of the general public dealing with treatment-resistant depression or suicidal ideation.
Key Responsibilities Evidence-Based Treatment:
Oversee and/or administer IV/IM Ketamine and Spravato nasal spray treatments.
Trauma-Informed Care:
Conduct screenings and assessments with a lens of empathy, specifically for those with high-risk profiles like suicidal ideation.
Holistic Support:
Participate in or facilitate group integration sessions to help patients process their breakthroughs.
Practice Building:
Collaborate with the founders to ensure we are creating a gold-standard experience for every person who walks through our doors.
Requirements CA State Licensure:
Active and unrestricted license in California (MD, DO, PA, or PMHNP).
DEA Certification:
Active registration for Schedules II-V.
The Heart:
A genuine desire to serve those in crisis and a belief in the power of interventional wellness.
Professionalism:
High-level communication skills and the ability to work in an evolving startup environment.
Pay:
Comensurate with experience and workload. Up to $15,000.00 per month as practice grows. We will be very competitive for the right person.
Work Location:
In person
Pay:
Up to $15,000.00 per month
Benefits:
Dental insurance Employee assistance program Employee discount Flexible schedule
