Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide high-quality patient care across diverse medical settings, ensuring safety, comfort, and optimal health outcomes. Your expertise will support a wide range of clinical procedures, assessments, and treatments while fostering a positive environment for patients and their families. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and health history documentation using electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner. Administer medications and injections accurately following prescribed protocols, including IV infusion and medication administration techniques. Assist with complex procedures such as catheterization, suturing, tube feeding, and sterile processing to ensure patient safety and comfort. Manage acute pain and provide specialized care in settings like ICU, trauma centers, or emergency rooms, including airway management and ventilator support. Conduct diagnostic evaluations such as laboratory specimen collection/processing, radiology preparations (e.g., CT scans), and infection control practices. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams on discharge planning, case management, and working with individuals with disabilities or memory care needs. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain accurate medical documentation for all patient interactions. Skills Extensive experience with EMR/EHR systems including Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth or eClinicalWorks. Proficiency in critical care procedures such as ICU experience, trauma medicine, or Level I/II trauma center experience. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), CPT coding, and diagnostic evaluation techniques. Skilled in performing advanced nursing skills including IV insertion, phlebotomy, aseptic technique, wound suturing, ostomy care, and gastrostomy management. Experience working in diverse clinical environments such as hospital medicine, outpatient clinics, urgent care centers, hospice & palliative medicine or home & community care settings. Ability to handle emergency situations efficiently with basic life support (BLS) certification and airway management skills. Familiarity with specialty areas including cardiology (cardiac catheterization), ophthalmology (including laser treatments), pediatrics (neonatal ventilator), geriatrics (memory/dementia care), behavioral health or occupational health.
