Public Health Emergency Preparedness Coordinator

The Marquette County Health Department is seeking applicants for a Public Health Emergency Preparedness Coordinator. Under the supervision of the Health Officer, develops and implements policies, procedures, and trainings to meet standards of public health emergency preparedness within the County of Marquette. Coordinates work of other staff assigned to the Public Health Emergency Preparedness Program. The possession of a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, Environmental Health, Epidemiology, Biology, Health Education, or Planning is required. Candidates with a Bachelor's Degree in another field that includes coursework in emergency management, education, communications, or a related field may be considered. Two years of experience in either public health or private health care sector, or emergency management, preferably involving coordination or collaboration with diverse agencies. Experience in infectious disease control, in bioterrorism management, risk communication or bioterrorism preparedness preferred. A valid Michigan driver's license is required. The starting wage range is $29.78 per hour plus benefit package.
