$22.00-$32.00 per hour Job Overview Master Steel is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control Inspector to join our production team in Hardeeville, SC. This role is responsible for inspecting structural steel components and fabricated materials to ensure compliance with project specifications, company standards, and industry requirements. The ideal candidate has experience in structural steel fabrication or construction, strong blueprint-reading skills, and a solid understanding of inspection standards. Candidates with CWI or similar inspection qualifications are especially encouraged to apply. Key Responsibilities Inspect fabricated and structural steel components to verify compliance with drawings, specifications, and quality standards Review blueprints, shop drawings, weld details, and related documents for dimensional accuracy and workmanship Perform visual inspections of welding, fit-up, layout, coatings, and overall fabrication quality Document inspection results, nonconformances, and corrective actions clearly and accurately Work closely with production teams, supervisors, and project stakeholders to resolve quality issues Maintain organized records of inspections, reports, and supporting documentation Help ensure compliance with company procedures, customer requirements, and applicable safety standards Support continuous improvement in quality, consistency, and production efficiency Qualifications 3+ years of quality control experience required, preferably in structural steel fabrication, construction, or a related field Strong knowledge of AISC and AWS standards and guidelines Ability to read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and project specifications Proficiency with measuring tools and inspection equipment Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Valid driver's license preferred CWI certification preferred Other similar quality or welding inspection qualifications are highly sought after Schedule Monday to Friday Benefits 401(k) matching Dental insurance Health insurance Life insurance Vision insurance Work Location In person — Hardeeville, SC 29927 Additional Requirements Ability to commute to Hardeeville, SC 29927 Ability to relocate before starting work, if needed Equal Opportunity Master Steel is committed to creating an inclusive workplace and encourages qualified candidates from all backgrounds to apply.
