Job Description

Cast Metals Technology is looking for a Quality Process Specialist to serve as a critical link between our foundry and machine shop operations. This role will focus on improving communication, standardizing processes, and enhancing product quality across departments. The ideal candidate will be hands-on, detail-oriented, and driven to continuously improve manufacturing processes while supporting both internal teams and external customers. A positive attitude Be a self-starter The ability to multi-task Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in measurement and reporting Familiarity with ISO 9001, AS9100, or similar quality management systems Experience using other precision inspection tools (micrometers, height gauges, calipers, optical comparators, etc. A good work ethic and good attendance The ability to communicate well with all levels of employees within the company
Job Duties:
Act as the primary liaison between the foundry and machine shop to ensure seamless communication and workflow alignment Develop, implement, and optimize workstation layouts and process documentation to improve operator efficiency and understanding Create visual work instructions, process standards, and training materials for production teams Collaborate with the Quality Department to monitor, investigate, and resolve internal quality issues Assist with root cause analysis and corrective action efforts for production and customer concerns Track and analyze quality metrics to identify trends and drive continuous improvement initiatives Interface periodically with customers regarding quality and process-related issues, including audits and corrective actions Help support new product launches by developing robust and repeatable manufacturing processes Participate in cross-functional team meetings to improve safety, quality, delivery, and cost
Qualifications :
3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment (foundry and/or machining experience strongly preferred) Strong understanding of quality systems and tools (e.g., PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans, SPC) Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications Excellent communication skills with the ability to work across departments and with customers Hands-on, problem-solving mindset with a focus on continuous improvement Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with ERP/MRP systems is a plus Experience in metal casting and machining processes is not required but preferred Knowledge of
ISO 9001
