Radiologic Technologist - MedFast Urgent Care 20 LOCATIONS
ACROSS BREVARD AND VOLUSIA COUNTY
Job Summary:
The Radiologic Technologist in Urgent Care provides imaging services to patients, focusing on diagnostic radiographic procedures in an urgent care environment. This role requires efficiency, precision, and the ability to work in a fast-paced setting. The technologist operates X-ray equipment, follows safety protocols, and collaborates with the healthcare team to deliver high-quality patient care.Now Hiring:
We are currently seeking Radiologic Technologists for weekend shifts (Friday through Monday) and PRN shifts during those days. Flexibility to work at multiple clinic locations is a plus, as we operate 20 locations across Brevard and Volusia County.Primary Responsibilities:
Perform Radiographic Procedures:
Execute accurate and timely radiographic exams according to physician orders. Prepare patients for procedures, explaining the process and ensuring patient comfort. Position patients and adjust equipment for optimal image capture based on established protocols. Evaluate images for quality and clarity, adjusting techniques as needed.Patient Care and Safety:
Follow all radiation safety protocols to protect patients and staff, adhering to ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) standards. Ensure patient confidentiality and handle sensitive information in compliance with HIPAA. Respond to patient needs and provide a supportive experience during imaging procedures.Equipment Maintenance:
Operate and maintain radiologic equipment, including regular cleaning, calibration, and troubleshooting. Report any equipment malfunctions to the appropriate department for timely repair. Manage and maintain radiologic supplies and restock as necessary.Collaboration and Communication:
Work closely with the urgent care team, including physicians, nurses, and administrative staff, to deliver efficient patient care. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members, ensuring a coordinated care experience. Assist in additional patient care tasks as directed by the lead technologist or supervisor.Documentation and Compliance:
Accurately document procedures in the electronic medical record (EMR) system. Stay current with certifications and compliance training, including knowledge of all regulatory requirements. Participate in quality improvement initiatives within the department.Qualifications:
Education:
Associate's degree or diploma from an accredited radiologic technology program.Licensure/Certification:
Active ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification. State licensure, as applicable. BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.Skills:
Proficiency in operating radiologic equipment and associated technology. Excellent patient interaction and communication skills. Ability to work independently and make quick decisions in urgent situations. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for extended periods. Capacity to lift or position patients when necessary. Manual dexterity to operate radiologic and computer equipment.Job Type:
