JOB SUMMARY

The R D Intern supports research activities led by the Data Manager and other operational staff. This position provides hands-on experience assisting with research protocols, data collection, basic laboratory tasks, and specific trials with black soldier fly larvae and BSFL products, as well general housekeeping activities in a research and production environment. Some weekend work is required.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist with research activities by following established protocols to support accurate data collection

• Help prepare materials, samples, and supplies for research and lab activities
• Record observations and data using written or computerized systems as directed
• Support routine colony and facility tasks, including feeding, cleaning, and basic maintenance
• Assist with laboratory maintenance, cleaning, and organization
• Follow safety, sanitation, and biosecurity procedures at all times
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor
