Professional Position Title:
Reading/Math Interventionist Peterstown Elementary School (K-3) 2 position available

Exempt Job Description :
Teach as an interventionist in the areas of reading and mathematics, as student need dictates. Responsible for small group instruction in the areas of math and reading. Work with teachers in PLC setting Collaborate with classroom teachers Use student data to guide interventions Differentiate instruction based on student needs Use intervention programs and evidence-based strategies Analyze student data to identify skill gaps Track student progress regularly Adjust intervention based on assessment results Work closely with classroom teacher to align intervention goals with classroom instruction Participate in MTSS meetings and PLC's Develop intervention lesson plans and instructional materials Maintain records of student growth Document data for school and district reporting requirements
Evaluation:
Performance in this position will be evaluated by the building principal/immediate supervisor and in accordance with WV State Code §18A-2-12, WV State Board Policy 5310, and MCBOE Policy C.2.3, Performance Evaluation of School Personnel-Administrative Procedures.
Qualifications:
Valid teaching certificate licensing the individual to teach in the specializations and grade levels, pursuant to WV Code §18A-3-2 Criminal background check and drug screening conducted pursuant to WV Code §18-5-15c and/or §18A-3-10, as appropriate. Meet the qualifications outline in WV Code §18A-3-2a.

School Year Salary:
Base Salary $43,815 with a bachelor's degree Minimum of 200 days annually, pursuant to WV Code §18-5-45; extended terms may be established by MCBOE. Pursuant to WV Code § 18A-4-2, in accordance with Monroe County Teacher Salary Schedule, commensurate with experience and education level, plus competitive benefits package equal to approximately 35% of direct compensation.
