Receiving Clerk

Overview We are seeking a dedicated Receiving Clerk to join our warehouse operations team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for the accurate and efficient receipt of incoming shipments, ensuring that all goods are properly inspected, documented, and stored according to company standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and experience working within warehouse management systems. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to smooth warehouse distribution processes and support overall order fulfillment operations. Duties Receive incoming shipments by unloading trucks using equipment such as pallet jacks, reach trucks, or forklifts, ensuring safe handling at all times. Verify received items against purchase orders and packing lists for accuracy and completeness. Utilize RF scanners and warehouse management systems (WMS) to document receipt of goods accurately into inventory. Inspect shipments for damages or discrepancies; report issues promptly to supervisors. Stock received items in designated warehouse locations, maintaining organized storage for efficient retrieval. Assist with order picking, packing, and shipping preparations as needed to support order fulfillment. Maintain accurate records of all received goods using AS400 or other inventory management software. Support the loading and unloading of trucks during outbound shipments, ensuring proper handling and safety procedures. Collaborate with warehouse team members to optimize space utilization and streamline distribution processes. Follow safety protocols when operating equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, or pallet jacks. Requirements Previous experience working in a warehouse environment with familiarity in shipping & receiving processes. Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS), RF scanners, and inventory software such as AS400 or MRPs. Ability to operate forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely. Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying quantities accurately. Experience with order picking & packing, stocking, and load & unload procedures. Knowledge of e-commerce fulfillment processes is a plus. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
