Recreational Boat Inspector

Position Overview Rudy Marine is seeking a detail-oriented person that could fill a position of Recreational Boat Inspector to join our team. This role is responsible for conducting thorough pre-delivery inspections on boats to ensure all systems are fully operational, vessels meet quality standards, and customers receive a flawless product. This is a fun and interesting position that is especially great for retirees who have boating experience and want to stay active in the marine industry. Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive pre-delivery inspections (PDI) on recreational boats.
• Conduct on-water testing to verify proper performance and system functionality.
• Perform a general systems check.
• Ensure vessel cleanliness and presentation meet company standards.
• Identify and document any physical defects or performance issues.
• Coordinate with service manager to resolve any deficiencies prior to delivery.
• Complete inspection checklists and documentation accurately. Requirements
• MUST have boating experience (hands-on operational experience required).
• Strong understanding of boat systems and marine equipment.
• Ability to operate boats safely during sea trials.
• High attention to detail.
• Ability to identify cosmetic defects.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to work outdoors and in varying weather conditions. Preferred Qualifications
• Marine technician or mechanical background.
• Experience working in a boat dealership or marina.
