Advanced Therapeutic Solutions is a growing healthcare business that provides services for kids, adolescents, and emerging adults who have physical, cognitive, social, and behavioral disabilities. Our mission is to provide every individual with the opportunity to receive qualified, personalized treatment with the opportunity to learn and reinforce life skills. We are currently expanding our services and are looking for a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) or students currently sitting for their certification exams. Our company works with Oakland, Monroe, Wayne, Macomb, Eaton, Clinton, Ingham, St. Joseph, Calhoun, Kent, and Washtenaw Counties, and we are onboarding for Kalamazoo, Jackson, and Ottawa Counties.
Job Description:
Advanced Therapeutic Solutions, LLC is seeking a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) to join our dynamic team. We provide individualized Recreational Therapy services to clients with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), severe mental illness, and physical challenges.
Responsibilities:
Design and implement one-on-one treatment sessions to address specific needs of the client. Create treatment plans, chart service reviews, and record weekly progress notes through our secured online server. Conduct initial assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and complete service reviews every 3, 6, and 9 months, with annual reassessments. Utilize the International Classification of Functioning (ICF) framework for assessments and documentation. Schedule treatment sessions on an individual basis with the client. Collaborate with caregivers, families, and interdisciplinary teams to align treatment goals with each client's Individual Plan of Service (IPOS) . Adapt activities to meet client needs, including community-based sessions. Ensure compliance with Medicaid requirements, CPT coding, and waiver guidelines. Fulfill at least a 6-month service contract (If you want to stay longer, we'd love to have you!).
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Certification:
Must hold a current CTRS certification or be actively preparing for certification exams.
Education:
Minimum of a degree in Recreational Therapy.
Experience:
No prior experience is required; training is provided.
Certification Requirements:
Proof of First Aid Certification may be required depending on the county. National certification in Recreational Therapy must be obtained before starting solo therapy sessions. Students sitting for certification will shadow other sessions until certification is acquired.
Skills:
Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Compliance:
Must pass a background check and provide a valid driver's license. Reliable transportation is necessary. Compassionate, fun individual who plays well with others.
