Job Description Clinical:

• Evaluates and establishes treatment plan for all patients referred to Recreational Therapy
• Performs leisure counseling and skill building
• Remain competent in: Evaluation/Assessment skills; Planning and implementation of group and individual activities; Leisure adaptive equipment
• Attends and provides continuing education inservices
• Works variable hours and shares responsibility for weekend coverage of recreation/activity programs.

Budget:

• Remains within monthly budget when planning recreational activities

Other:

• Must be competent in use of computer for documentation purposes

Job Knowledge:

• Bachelor's Degree in Therapeutic Recreation required
• Certified as Therapeutic Recreation Specialist required
• CPR certification required
• Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to work with/treat adult and geriatric patients.
