Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Registered Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental office. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Duties Assist the dentist during various procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and available. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation using software such as Open Dental or Dentrix. Manage infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for both patients and staff. Provide patient education regarding oral hygiene, post-operative care, and treatment plans. Schedule appointments and manage patient flow efficiently while maintaining a welcoming atmosphere. Handle administrative tasks such as updating medical records, processing insurance claims, and managing medical documentation. Operate 3D scanners and assist with medical imaging when required. Hygiene assisting or eager to learn. Experience Previous experience in dental assisting is mandatory. Familiarity with dental software systems such as Open Dental or Dentrix is highly desirable. Knowledge of infection control practices and procedures is essential. Experience with medical records management and documentation is beneficial. Proficiency in using 3D scanners or other imaging technology is a plus. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
