Job Description

We are a growing ambulatory surgery center in the beautiful Litchfield Hills and are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience circulating orthopedic, podiatry, sports medicine, spine, and hand cases in a fast-paced surgical environment. We perform surgery Monday-Thursday each week. The position includes working one or more days/week. Enjoy a collaborative team atmosphere with now weekends, holidays, or on-call requirements. Responsibilities Provide safe, high-quality patient care throughout the perioperative experience. Circulate surgical cases while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and adherence to sterile technique. Assist anesthesia providers and monitor patient status during procedures. Collaborate effectively with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and surgical staff to ensure efficient patient care and workflow. Prepare operating rooms, equipment, and supplies for surgical procedures. Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) and document patient assessments in a timely manner. Educate patients and families regarding pre-operative and post-operative care instructions. Qualifications Current RN License in good standing. Previous operating room and circulating experience preferred. Experience with orthopedic, podiatry, sports medicine, spine, and hand preferred. Strong patient assessment and critical thinking skills. Knowledge of EHR systems Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced surgical environment Able to lift up to 40lbs Benefits No weekends, holidays, or on-call responsibilities.
