Why This Opportunity Stands Out Make a real impact in a close-knit, community-focused hospital Enjoy night shift stability with a supportive, team-oriented environment Gain broad pediatric clinical experience across diverse patient needs Take on a hands-on role that builds and strengthens advanced nursing skills Grow your career with supportive leadership and mentorship Be part of a collaborative culture where your voice is valued Key Responsibilities Provide direct nursing care with a focus on pediatric patients Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions; report changes promptly Administer medications, IV therapy, and treatments per physician orders and hospital policy Develop and implement patient-centered care plans with families and care teams Delegate and supervise LPNs and CNAs to ensure high-quality care Maintain accurate documentation and uphold safety, infection control, and regulatory standards Communicate effectively with physicians and interdisciplinary teams Support admissions, discharges, procedures, and patient/family education Emergency duty may be required of the incumbent that includes working in special needs or Red Cross shelters or to perform other emergency duties including, but not limited to, responses to threats or actual disasters, man-made or natural.

Additional Duties:

May be required to act in a Charge Nurse capacity during which, the additional duties would be required: Supervises RNs, LPNs and CNAs and the provision of care to patients in accordance with policies, procedures and regulations. Follows ACLS protocol for patients as indicated Assists the Nurse Manager - Med./Surg. 3rd Floor with order transcription and overall operation of the unit. Education:

Associate's, Bachelor's, or Diploma in Nursing from an accredited nursing school required.

Experience:

(1) year of Pediatric experience required.

Certification:

CPR certification required. PALS required withinninety (30) days of hire. ACLS required within ninety (30) days of hire.

Licensure:

State of Florida Registered Nurse license required.
