Job Description

Category Respiratory Therapist Job Type Contract Advance your healthcare career by contributing your expertise as a Respiratory Therapist in a highly regarded clinical environment. This opportunity is ideal for an accomplished Registered Respiratory Therapist dedicated to providing compassionate care and skilled respiratory support. The position runs for 13 weeks, delivering crucial services during night shifts.
Schedule:
3x12-hour night shifts: 6:00pm - 6:30am On call: 4 nights within a six-week period to provide additional departmental coverage
Qualifications:
Current registration as a Respiratory Therapist Valid Ohio Respiratory Care Professional license BLS (Basic Life Support) certification Experience in acute care preferred, with a focus on adaptability during overnight hours Strong interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams Ability to respond effectively in both routine and urgent clinical situations
Key Responsibilities:
Administer respiratory therapy treatments and diagnostic evaluations as ordered by physicians Monitor, assess, and document patient respiratory status while adjusting protocols as needed Manage and operate a variety of respiratory equipment, including ventilators and oxygen delivery systems Respond swiftly to emergency codes and provide bedside respiratory support Educate patients and their families on respiratory interventions and home care where applicable Support physicians and nurses with respiratory care processes throughout the facility Maintain strict adherence to safety, infection control, and documentation protocols If you are a dedicated Registered Respiratory Therapist seeking a contract role with meaningful responsibilities and an engaging team, take the next step in your career.
