Relationship Banker

Position Summary Putnam County Bank is seeking a Relationship Banker who is passionate about building strong customer relationships and delivering exceptional service. This role is responsible for assisting customers with everyday banking needs while identifying opportunities to recommend products and services that support their financial goals. The ideal candidate is personable, detail-oriented, and motivated to grow customer relationships through meaningful interactions and proactive outreach. Key Responsibilities Provide outstanding customer service by building and maintaining strong relationships with new and existing customers Process routine banking transactions accurately (deposits, withdrawals, payments, etc.) Open and service consumer and small business accounts, including checking, savings, and related products Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate bank products and digital services (online banking, debit cards, mobile payments, etc.) Assist customers with account inquiries, problem resolution, and general banking questions Support branch sales goals through referrals, cross-selling, and community engagement Ensure compliance with all bank policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements Maintain confidentiality and protect customer information at all times Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree preferred Previous banking, retail, or customer service experience preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to identify customer needs and recommend solutions Basic computer skills and ability to learn banking systems Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills Cash handling experience preferred What We're Looking For Friendly and professional demeanor Strong relationship-building skills Sales-minded with a customer-first approach Dependable and team-oriented Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Why Join Putnam County Bank?
