Residential Maintenance Technician

Five Star Beach Properties is a luxury vacation rental company in the Destin and 30A area. We are in need of a full-time maintenance technician. Main office located in Miramar Beach. We are seeking a proactive and skilled Residential Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the safety, functionality, and aesthetic appeal of vacation rental properties through hands-on repairs, preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting. Your expertise will ensure residents enjoy a comfortable, well-maintained environment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your skills in a fast-paced, customer-focused setting. Responsibilities include but not limited to: Completing work orders from office staff, owners, guests and field workers in a timely, professional manner Working closely with office coordinators to make sure everything is being addressed Alerting office staff when an outside vendor is needed Assisting guests and owners with anything that might pop up during their stay Respond in a professional, polite and helpful manner when dealing with guests and homeowners Performing inspections and preventative maintenance on homes Work within tight deadlines Troubleshoot and repair issues as they arise Communicate effectively with residents, team members, and vendors in English to coordinate repairs and provide excellent customer service.

Requirements:

Ability to climb stairs and ladders Job requires moderate lift up to 50 lbs, carry, push/pull with an occasional climb and crawl Must be able to work inside and outside Basic knowledge of building maintenance is required Background in basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, drywall, painting, and carpentry is preferred but not required Must be familiar with all hand tools Work weekends and some on call Knowledge of general repair Ability to troubleshoot and find the problem Must have a valid driver's license Must submit a background check Excellent communication skills in English for clear documentation and resident interaction. Valid certifications in electrical work or facilities maintenance are advantageous. Tools and vehicle provided.
