August 15, 2026 About the Role We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Residential Nurse to join our medical team for the 2026 summer season. This opportunity allows you to combine nursing experience with the life-changing experience of camp. As a Residential Nurse, you will live onsite and play a vital role in delivering high-quality medical support to our campers. You will provide daily nursing care, administer medications and infusions, and support volunteer nurses and counselors in ensuring a safe, and joyful environment for all. Essential Duties and Key Responsibilities

• Act as a resource for volunteer nurses, summer staff and volunteers
• Assist Nursing Director with medical orientation of staff
• Preparation and administration of routine scheduled medications to campers; Methods of administration include: Oral, IM, SQ, IV, topical, ophthalmic, and inhalation
• Administration of various infusions such as: IV fluids for hydration, Desferal, Factor and antibiotics
• Care, maintenance and use of various types of Central Lines
• Administration of medications in accordance with the standing orders and Health Care Plan, or as ordered by physician
• Administration of first aid care as detailed in the standing orders
• Documentation and record keeping as outlined in the Body Shop Manual
• Provide feedback and information to parents regarding the health of their child, as needed
• Monitor the health of the campers and staff in their care (cabin), as well as assisting with other campers and staff as needed
• Communicate with Unit Leader and counselors about special medical needs of campers
• Accompany campers when offsite as necessary. Administer medications, provide nursing care, and assessments
• Reside on camp for summer
• Cover shifts in Body Shop as needed during high volume times assisting staff nurses
• Cover overnight call in Body Shop
• Accompany campers being transported by ambulance as designated by the Nursing Director
• As directed by the Nursing Director, oversee medical needs if the Nursing Director is off site
• Follow camp standards of confidentiality regarding camper and staff medical records
• Practice universal precautions as outlined in the Health Care Plan Qualifications
• Valid New York State RN or NP license
• BLS certification (required)
• PALS or ACLS certification (preferred)
• Pediatric or Hematology/Oncology experience (preferred)
