Position Summary:

The Respiratory Therapy Student assists respiratory therapists with preparing for and providing patient care. Delivers routine therapy as delegated by a therapist. Assesses patient condition and delivers appropriate treatment. Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition. Educates the patient and family about the patient's illness and provides information about community support groups and other resources. Monitors, receives, stocks, and distributes respiratory care supplies and medical gas cylinders. Maintains storage areas with required supply levels and equipment.

What we are looking for:

State Board of Respiratory Care (Student) Must be enrolled in an accredited respiratory therapy program and completed a minimum of 2 semesters of the program. Basic Life Support (BLS) required one month from hire date Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) preferred Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP) preferred Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
