Retail Sales Associate

Overview Lively Run Goat Dairy is seeking a sales associate for our 2026 season. Applicants must have a positive attitude, attention to detail and work well with the public. Our sales associates will be assembling cheese tasting boards and assisting the public in our retail shop. Some interaction with the Lively Run goats will be required. Working hours are Tuesday through Saturday from 11:30 am to 5:30 pm. Compensation will include tips. Duties Greet customers warmly. Prepare cheese boards Assist customers with product selection based on their needs. Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately for transactions including cash handling and retail math calculations Stock shelves efficiently, organize merchandise displays, and ensure the store is clean and inviting Support merchandising efforts by arranging products attractively to maximize sales potential Maintain organizational skills to keep inventory records up-to-date and manage stock levels effectively Provide excellent customer service by addressing questions, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring customer satisfaction Experience Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for artisanal cheese and farm to table sourcing is a plus. Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling procedures, and retail math enhances your effectiveness in this role Strong communication skills are essential Organizational skills to manage stocking, merchandising, and inventory records efficiently Ability to work well in a team environment while maintaining a positive attitude and proactive approach Join the Lively Run team today!
