Route Driver for Vending Machines Joy Distribution Vending LLC Ontario, CA Job Details Full-time From $18 an hour 1 day ago Benefits Paid training On-the-job training Fuel discount Qualifications Bilingual Driver's License Bachelor's degree Attention to detail Driving Mechanical troubleshooting Time management Mobile devices Full Job Description Overview Joy Vending is growing fast across Southern California. We're looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Route Driver to handle, on-site restocking at client locations , simple vending-machine troubleshooting , and friendly communication with site contacts . You'll follow a daily plan, keep machines full and clean, surface customer feedback, and spot small issues before they become big problems. Responsibilities Execute the daily route plan on time: restock assigned locations, keep shelves organized to planogram, rotate stock (FIFO), and minimize stock-outs.
At each stop:
refill beverages/snacks , wipe down machines, check temps/expiration dates, test vends, and upload quick photos/notes in the app. Light troubleshooting : clear jammed spirals, power-cycle, reseat/clean bill & coin acceptors, verify/change prices as instructed, update basic signage. Record everything in the mobile app: quantities loaded/removed, returns/expired items, issues and resolutions; open/close service tickets and escalate when needed. Communicate with site contacts professionally; gather user requests, spot upsell opportunities, and suggest SKU improvements based on what you see. Notice the details : unusual error codes, repeat mis-vends, slow movers, damage/theft risks, cleanliness/branding issues—and report them promptly. Drive safely and maintain a tidy, organized vehicle; follow company safety, food-handling, and cashless/cash procedures. Qualifications Valid driver's license with a clean driving record ; strong safety awareness and dependable time management. Physical ability to repeatedly lift and carry up to ~50 lbs (cases of drinks) and to use dollies/hand trucks for heavier items. Tech-curious and adaptable —willing to learn new tools and different vending machine models (e.g., smart/image-recognition machines, standard snack/beverage, coolers). Basic mechanical aptitude for simple fixes and following quick-start guides. Solid communication and customer-service skills; comfortable talking with facility staff and end users. Comfortable using smartphones/tablets (photos, notes, checklists) and basic spreadsheets. Nice to have (preferred): prior experience in vending/route sales, convenience retail, warehouse, or field service; basic food-safety knowledge; bilingual ability.
