Forklift Operator

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and experienced Forklift Operator to join our dynamic warehouse team. In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently handling materials, loading and unloading shipments, and maintaining a safe and organized warehouse environment. Your expertise in operating various heavy equipment and managing inventory will be crucial to ensuring smooth warehouse distribution processes. Responsibilities Safely operate forklifts, reach trucks, clamp trucks, Hi-Lo forklifts, pallet jacks, and other heavy equipment to load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse. Perform order picking using pick systems and ensure accurate selection of items for shipment or inventory replenishment. Manage shipping and receiving activities by verifying incoming and outgoing shipments, inspecting freight for damage, and documenting transactions accurately. Maintain a clean, organized workspace by stacking pallets, arranging materials efficiently, and adhering to safety standards outlined by OSHA regulations. Conduct routine equipment repairs or report maintenance needs promptly to ensure optimal performance of all warehouse machinery. Assist with warehouse management system (WMS) updates to track inventory levels, locations, and movement of goods. Support warehouse supervision by following operational procedures for heavy lifting, materials handling, and order fulfillment. Requirements Proven experience operating forklifts (including reach trucks, clamp trucks, Hi-Lo) and other heavy equipment in a warehouse setting. Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control processes. Ability to perform basic math calculations for order accuracy and inventory counts. Mechanical knowledge related to equipment repair or troubleshooting is preferred. Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and best practices for materials handling and heavy lifting. Prior experience in shipping & receiving, order picking, or warehouse distribution is highly desirable. Excellent attention to detail along with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety protocols.
