Job Description

Category Respiratory Therapist Job Type Contract Deliver specialized respiratory care as a pivotal member of a dynamic healthcare team. This contract opportunity is designed for skilled Respiratory Therapists who are passionate about improving patient outcomes through expert clinical interventions. Your knowledge and commitment will help support patients with acute and chronic respiratory disorders in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
Qualifications:
Valid licensure as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Graduate of an accredited respiratory therapy program Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred) Proven experience in hospital or clinical respiratory care settings Proficiency in administering therapies such as oxygen, aerosol, and nebulization Ability to perform and interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs) Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
Primary Responsibilities:
Evaluate, treat, and care for patients with breathing or cardiopulmonary disorders Administer respiratory therapy treatments and manage ventilators per physician's orders Conduct diagnostic tests including pulmonary function assessments Educate patients and families on respiratory care and equipment use Monitor patient responses and adjust treatment plans as appropriate Maintain accurate documentation of all therapy provided Uphold patient safety and infection control protocols at all times
