Job Description

Job Summary The Safety Officer will be responsible for implementing, monitoring, and improving workplace safety programs, ensuring compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations. This role will work closely with management and staff to promote a proactive safety culture. Key Responsibilities Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies, procedures, and training programs. Conduct regular workplace inspections, risk assessments, and safety audits. Investigate incidents, accidents, and near-misses, and recommend corrective actions. Ensure compliance with OSHA, local, state, and federal safety regulations. Maintain accurate safety records, reports, and documentation. Coordinate emergency response drills and preparedness activities. Provide safety training and toolbox talks to employees and contractors. Collaborate with management to identify and mitigate workplace hazards. Qualifications OSHA certification or equivalent safety training. 2+ years of experience in a safety-related role. Strong knowledge of safety regulations and best practices. Excellent communication, training, and problem-solving skills. Core Competencies Attention to detail and strong observation skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Commitment to fostering a safe and healthy work environment. Work Environment This role requires site visits, inspections in industrial or construction settings, and occasional travel.
Job Type:
Full-time Pay:
$20.00 - $25.00 per hour Expected hours: 50.0 per week
