POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking an energetic, results-driven Account Executive to drive the growth of our Hydrovac and CCTV Services. This role combines business development, account management, and sales support to generate new revenue, strengthen customer relationships, and maximize hydrovac truck utilization. Working closely with the Regional Director of Business Growth, Dispatch, and Operations, this position promotes hydrovac excavation, CCTV inspection, utility potholing/daylighting, slot trenching, stormwater maintenance, and 24/7 emergency response services while ensuring customers receive exceptional service from initial contact through project completion.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT & ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT
Develop and maintain relationships with general contractors, underground utility contractors, municipalities, utility companies, fuel retailers, commercial property owners Generate new business opportunities through prospecting, client visits, referrals, and consistent follow-up. Promote hydrovac excavation, utility potholing/daylighting, slot trenching, CCTV inspection, stormwater maintenance, and 24/7 emergency response services. Maintain regular contact with active and prospective customers to identify upcoming projects, recurring service needs, and additional account opportunities. Attend trade shows, contractor association meetings, networking events, and other industry activities to generate qualified leads and strengthen customer relationships.
SALES SUPPORT & CUSTOMER ENGAGEMENT
Prepare customer rate sheets, estimates, and service proposals for hydrovac and CCTV services. Manage leads, customer opportunities, estimates, activities, and follow-up within the CRM. Follow up on estimates, proposals, and customer inquiries to improve conversion rates and support revenue growth. Maintain accurate customer records, sales activities, project details, and pipeline status within the CRM. Provide responsive customer service and communicate schedule expectations, service requirements, and project updates. Grow existing accounts by identifying repeat service opportunities across multiple projects, phases, or locations.
OPERATIONS COORDINATION
Coordinate closely with Dispatch to align customer commitments with hydrovac truck, crew, and equipment availability. Help maximize hydrovac truck utilization by identifying open schedule capacity and proactively contacting customers with upcoming or recurring service needs. Communicate project scope, customer priorities, access requirements, and schedule changes to Dispatch and Operations. Collaborate with field teams and internal departments to support smooth project handoffs and successful service delivery. Participate in sales meetings and provide updates on pipeline activity, customer needs, scheduling opportunities, and account growth. Identify opportunities to improve customer service, sales workflows, scheduling efficiency, and overall On-Call Division performance.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience in business development, account management, sales coordination, construction services, utilities, or field service operations preferred. Knowledge of hydrovac, underground utility, civil construction, CCTV inspection, or stormwater services is a plus. Strong communication, relationship-building, organization, and follow-up skills. Ability to manage multiple customers, estimates, service requests, and scheduling priorities in a fast-paced environment. Experience using a CRM to track leads, activities, estimates, and pipeline progress.
