The ideal candidate will already have established referral accounts and the ability to consistently generate a minimum of 10 hospice patient admissions per month . This is not an entry-level role — it requires a professional who is deeply experienced in hospice marketing, understands the competitive landscape, and thrives on building and sustaining referral pipelines. The areas that will need focus are Alameda and Contra Costa Counties. Position Summary Key Responsibilities Strategically market hospice services to physicians, hospitals, SNFs, assisted living facilities, case managers, and discharge planners. Leverage existing referral accounts and develop new relationships to meet and exceed patient admission goals. Consistently deliver 10+ patient admissions per month through established networks. Conduct targeted presentations and in-services to educate providers on hospice eligibility, philosophy, and benefits. Collaborate with clinical and admissions teams to ensure seamless referral and admission processes. Analyze referral trends and develop marketing strategies to maintain competitive advantage. Represent the hospice with professionalism, compliance, and a compassionate approach. Qualifications 5+ years of proven success in hospice marketing/business development. Established, active referral accounts with demonstrated ability to produce admissions. Strong knowledge of hospice eligibility, regulations, and CMS compliance. Exceptional marketing, communication, and relationship-building skills. Entrepreneurial, results-driven, and able to work independently. Education Graduate of an accredited college/university is preferred.
Environmental and Working Conditions:
Works under a variety of conditions in facilities and offices; ability to travel locally; ability to work a flexible schedule; some exposure to unpleasant weather.
Physical and Mental Effort:
Sitting is required. Requires the ability to handle stressful situations in a calm and courteous manner at all times. Requires working under some stressful conditions to meet deadlines and the Hospice's needs. Ability to travel. Compensation Competitive commission structure tied to patient admissions.
