HVAC/MEP
Sales Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Account Manager with strong HVAC and MEP knowledge to drive sales, maintain and grow key customer relationships, and coordinate technical and commercial activities across projects. The role combines client-facing sales responsibilities with technical understanding of HVAC systems and controls to deliver solutions that meet performance, budget, and schedule requirements. Key Responsibilities Serve as primary point of contact for assigned accounts, building long-term relationships and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction. Develop and execute account growth plans to achieve sales targets, identify new opportunities, and expand service offerings within existing customers. Collaborate with engineering, estimating, project management, and field teams to scope HVAC and controls solutions, prepare proposals, and ensure successful project handovers. Present technical solution proposals and quotations to clients, explaining HVAC system benefits, controls integration, lifecycle costs, and energy efficiency considerations. Manage sales pipeline and forecasting using CRM tools; track opportunities from initial contact through contract execution and project closeout. Negotiate commercial terms and contracts in coordination with legal and finance teams to ensure profitable and compliant agreements. Provide after-sales support and coordinate warranty, service, and retrofit activities to maintain client satisfaction and capture repeat business. Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and emerging HVAC technologies and controls to advise customers and inform internal strategies. Conduct regular account reviews, performance reporting, and develop action plans to address service or delivery issues. Represent the company at client meetings, industry events, and technical workshops as required. Qualifications Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC Technology, Business, or related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered. 3+ years of account management or sales experience within the HVAC, MEP, or mechanical contracting industries; HVAC sales experience highly desired. Practical knowledge of HVAC systems, controls, and building automation; experience specifying or selling HVAC controls is a plus. Proven track record meeting or exceeding sales targets and developing long-term client relationships. Strong technical aptitude with the ability to translate technical details into clear business value for clients. Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and proficiency with Microsoft Office suite. Willingness to travel to client sites and project locations as needed; valid drivers license required. Relevant certifications (e.g., NATE, LEED, HVAC controls training) or manufacturer certifications are advantageous. For this position, you must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship for a non-immigrant visa.
