Summary The Sr. Manager, National Accounts - Outdoor Living is responsible for driving profitable sales growth, market share expansion, and strategic account development for the Trex Outdoor Living product portfolio. This role develops and executes national account strategies that strengthen BlueLinx's position as a preferred distribution partner while supporting Trex's growth objectives through fact-based selling, business planning, customer engagement, and exceptional execution. The position serves as the primary liaison between BlueLinx, Trex, and assigned national and regional customers, building strong relationships with key decision-makers and influencing sales, merchandising, inventory, marketing, and supply chain initiatives that drive mutual success. The Sr. Manager leads strategic growth initiatives, develops market penetration plans, and partners across Sales, Product Management, Supply Chain, Marketing, and Operations to maximize results. What You'll Do Understand and support BlueLinx's strategic vision, sales objectives , and Trex Outdoor Living growth initiatives. Develop and execute comprehensive national account business plans that drive revenue growth, profitability, market penetration, and customer engagement for the Trex Outdoor Living portfolio. Build, maintain , and expand strategic relationships with national and regional account executives, purchasing leaders, merchandising teams, category managers, supply chain professionals, and senior leadership. Collaborate with Trex leadership and BlueLinx stakeholders to identify growth opportunities, market trends, and customer-specific solutions. Drive sales execution through fact-based selling, customer presentations, joint business planning sessions, promotional strategies, and market development initiatives. Achieve assigned sales, volume, margin, and market share objectives while maintaining a strong focus on profitable growth. Analyze market conditions, competitive activity, customer performance data, inventory trends, and pricing dynamics to identify opportunities and risks. Develop long-term account strategies that support product expansion, customer acquisition, specification growth, and channel development. Partner with Marketing and Product Management teams to develop and execute programs that increase product awareness, customer adoption, and sales performance. Support new product launches, merchandising initiatives, marketing campaigns, and customer training programs related to the Trex Outdoor Living portfolio. Monitor sales forecasts, inventory positions, rebate programs, and promotional activities to ensure alignment with customer expectations and financial objectives . Prepare and present business reviews, sales forecasts, market analyses, and growth recommendations to BlueLinx and Trex leadership teams. Coordinate cross-functional resources to resolve customer issues, improve service levels, and enhance the customer experience. Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and implement best practices that enhance account performance and profitability. Maintain a high level of product knowledge on decking, railing, outdoor living products, and competitive offerings. Participate in industry events, trade shows, customer meetings, and strategic planning sessions to support business growth. Travel regularly to customer locations, industry events, BlueLinx facilities, and Trex meetings as required .What We're Looking For:
Bachelor's degree in Business , Marketing, Sales, Construction Management, or a related field required . MBA or advanced business degree preferred. 7+ years of progressive sales, account management, channel management, or supplier management experience. Experience supporting national accounts, building products, specialty products, outdoor living products, or industrial distribution environments strongly preferred. Experience working with Trex products, dealer networks, pro customers, or large retail accounts highly desirable. Strong understanding of strategic account management and consultative selling methodologies. Experience developing and executing joint business plans and growth strategies. Strong financial and analytical skills, including forecasting, pricing analysis, margin management, and ROI evaluation. Excellent presentation, negotiation, and relationship management skills. Demonstrated ability to analyze market data and translate insights into actionable strategies. Ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence stakeholders without direct authority. Strong organizational and project management capabilities. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, CRM platforms, and sales reporting tools. Working knowledge of decking, railing, outdoor living products, construction materials, and distribution channels preferred.Our Values:
