Job Description
Overview We are looking for an Equipment Manager to manage our fleet! Join the leading landscaping & snow removal company in Chicagoland. Beverly Companies is family owned and has been providing full-service landscaping & snow removal to properties throughout the Chicago area for over 26 years. Our services include landscaping, snow removal, paving, & topsoil. We are one of the largest landscaping & snow removal companies in Illinois and are proud to be the best rated in Chicagoland. We are currently members of BOMA/Suburban, BOMA/Chicago, ILCA, IREM, SIMA, MPBHBA, ASA, & Chief Engineer. The Equipment Manager will report to the General Manager. This position will oversee all our landscape and snow removal equipment, ensuring we have the necessary equipment where it needs to be when it needs to be there. The Equipment Manager will be issued a company vehicle (available at our main shop) for travel to company locations and job sites. Responsibilities
- Manage all company equipment and fleet assets for landscaping and snow operations.
- Ensure equipment is staged, delivered, and on-site when crews need it.
- Assign and coordinate equipment across crews and job sites to maximize uptime.
- Work with mechanics and vendors to keep equipment safe, compliant, and ready.
- Track equipment usage, maintenance records, and inspections.
- Train operators on proper use, care, and safety expectations.
- Respond to equipment issues and breakdowns in the field.
- Support purchasing, rentals, and replacements as needed.
- Oversee snow removal operations for an assigned area during winter months.
- Assist with storm prep, equipment readiness, and post-storm checks.
- Maintain safety, DOT, OSHA, and company compliance standards.
- Report fleet status and equipment needs to management. Qualifications
- Previous experience with equipment management.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency with basic computer applications (email, scheduling software, mobile reporting).
Pay:
$70,000.00- $100,000.
